Proverbs 14:30 says, “A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.” (NKJV)
Heart matters are truly life matters! The state of a person’s heart speaks so much to the state of their physical health and their entire life in general!
This is the very reason why Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, insisted that, God-honoring people who choose to keep their hearts free from life-suckers made a very noble choice. He says, “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life”. (Proverbs 4:23) NKJV
Life suckers and heart-defilers are so many. like, Envy, jealousy, lusts, greed, evil thoughts, etc. Once these parasites take their residence in a person heart; you can be sure the flow of life from such a person is getting halted, or, they only produce a very low quality version of that person. Solomon calls it “…. rottenness to the bones.”
Life-suckers and heart defilers tend to bring corruption to all the good intentions and motives one hoped to implement.
So, It has since occurred to me that what actually brings more life to a person, are not the things one naturally receives or received from God and others; but, one actually receives more life, more health and more prosperity, etc, by the things they draw from their hearts and share with others and the World.
The more you give, the more you share your life, joy, peace, good wishes, hope, riches etc, with others, the more blessing, reward, honor, wealth, etc, you receive in return.
Paul the apostle, knowing this truth, told the Ephesians elders at his exit that , “…. I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” (Acts 20:35) NKJV
This is so because, God sets human life to operate on the principle of cause and effect. Like , “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38) NKJV. Etc.
So, a sound heart attracts more life, more rewards and more blessings. However, a sick heart attracts only death and death!!!
So, be wise, pay the price to empty your hearts of life-suckers and heart defilers; Some may requires that you forgive those who wronged you, others may require that you gain a new perspective about life, change your old mindset, your attitude, etc.
Renew your mind by God’s Word, carefully and prayerfully remove those softwares that are generating evil datas and replace them with software that continuously showers you with life.
Apostle Paul says in (Romans 12:2) NKJV, “…And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Just remember, “A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.” God bless you.
